The debut album ''In Blood And Spirit'' by the Icelanders SOLSTAFIR was orginal released in 2002 via good old Ars Metalli from Frankfurt/Oder. When it ended the label, the album was more or less sold out for a long time. Now there is finally the chance to recover the treasures from the early days of the now globally successful band from Reykjavķk. There would then be 9 pieces, all written in their native language, which of course were much rougher than what we know today. The original cover motif has remained, but now comes without a logo. ''I Blodi Og Anda'' a work that skilfully covers all kinds of emotions from melancholy to pride and hate to overwhelming aggression, already has its own style and is adorned with the best possible sound. For all those who don't know what to do with the title ''I Blodi Og Anda'', the meaning of the title opens up with the translation ''In Blood And Spirit'', which is also true musically. So right from the start they weren't 100% Black Metal but always something very special. That's SOLSTAFIR from Iceland, the original with a high cult factor. The black double vinyl edition here is limited to only 250 copies packed in a stylish gatefold cover.
