Since almost 8 years, the old school Death Metal command SLAUGHTERDAY from Leer, Lower Saxony is already on the streets, to kill em all with their morbid sounds. Jens Finger, who has been flip his strings before at OBSCENITY for many years, take over the guitar and bass, Bernd Reiners handling the drums excellently & grunting into the mic as it should be. 13 months since the last output ''Laws Of The Occult'', now follows ''Abattoir'' with its 6 tracks including the 2 coverversions from AMORPHIS & TROUBLE. So, the slaughter goes on cheerfully in the far north. Almost 30 minutes is puked & rumbled what the old school death metal gives! Blood, pus, maggots, bones and all that swirls tight like hell out of the boxes. Jörg Uken once again put together an exemplary sound in his Soundlogde studio, which has already worked together with many well-known Death Metal bands. The dry sound with the deep tuned but melodic guitars reminds of AUTOPSY, but also of old GOREFEST records to stay in their neighborhood. Now comes added the old warhorse Thomas Westphal of Necromaniac Artworks, who is responsible for the cover shows and finished is another old school Death Metal masterpiece of modern times. Yellow/Black marbled Vinyl edition comes with lyric insert, free download code - Limited to 100 copies only.
