''Emissaries'', the 4th studio full lenght album by the original Israelites MELECHESH, is like a crusade. A crusade of sorts, anyway, which they have been leading since their move to Holland against the dominance of western-influenced black metal. Their goal, to offer an alternative to bitterly evil, Scandinavian, Satanic and various other varieties of Black Metal. If you still don't know what this alternative sounds like after more than thirteen years, you are cordially invited to listen the 10 tracks of ''Emissaries''. It's oriental, liltingly dark, highly independent and at the same time pleasantly traditional and anti-modern in sound. The two guitarists conjure up exotic harmonies that don't really have much to do with black metal anymore, but can pass for a rocking mixture of heavy, thrash and rough brawling. But also the powerful, natural & timeless sound has its share in the fact that this album won't get boring so quickly. Here is the 2021 re-issue on 180g black vinyl, limited to 200 copies only, includes free download card and size A2 full-color poster packed in gatefold cover.
